Thank you so much for reading! I agree, but thankfully “tranny fatigue” is very real! People are getting sick of this shit and I think we have real reason to hope. Fingers crossed that SB1 passes!
Not a chance. Didn't you see idiotic Democrats in the House lying about the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act? They called it the GOP Child Predator Empowerment Act. They're digging in their heels.
I've been working with a group that has written a federal bill that's better than what Republicans are offering. We'll work with any Dem or Repub willing to sponsor or vote for it. If you want to be involved, contact me via substack messaging.
This is an incredible record of some of the evil of gender ideology. At some stage there needs to be a reckoning and at least some of these people made to pay for the harm they have caused or enabled. Well done.
This is incredibly comprehensive- thank you! I think it’s very important to get all these names out there. One note: it isn’t the AAP that TransParent lists as a hate group but rather, the American College of Pediatricians.
In light of the recent Trump edicts on trans, I would look at guidance documents from the justice department and in particular NIH - which has a “trans portfolio” of funding.
Psychology is the origin and main arena of propagation of trans pseudoscience. As cessation of funding with crushing mandates on accurate biological language come into play, I suspect we will see a different tune play out over the next decade through organizations which piggybacked onto junk science.
"Again, my problem with this is that gender-affirming care is good for exactly no one, no matter how individualized the process, and especially not children who have no concept of the permanency of their choices."
Exactly. No individual needs any of this, including adults.
Btw the worst defenders of this nonsense (from my experience) tends to be the stupid libertarian types, who think allowing perversions means "small government." Meanwhile, they do nothing for actual violation of real individual and speech rights. They really are the dumbest.
Thank you, Kat! I agree, it's weirdly the most common justification for stuff like this despite how much it incurs on basic liberties like freedom of speech, privacy, fairness, etc. Hope you liked your shoutout btw!
Thanks for naming the names. I don't recall that there was such a thing as LGBT Studies before there was Cultural Marxism. In my view, the tipping point was the 1989 popular rebellions against communism in Europe and China, which meant overt, economic Marxism became unviable in Western academia for a while. Gender Trouble was published the following year, and was enthusiastically adopted as a manifesto by a cohort of young, mostly female academics who are now senior professors.
Well, it began before that, with the essay Thinking Sex by Gayle Rubin in 1984, “widely regarded as a founding text of Gay & Lesbian Studies, Sexuality Studies and Queer Theory.” The Queer crowd these days like to pretend otherwise, due to the inconvenient fact that the essay is approximately 50% an apologia for pedophilia.
Rubin along with the man considered to be the Godfather of Queer Theory, Michel Foucault, an admitted pedophile, and her colleague Pat Califia, another open pedophilia advocate, were the biggest early promoters of what came to be known as Queer Theory.
After that, Queer enthusiasts went full-revisionist and basically pretended that the 80s never happened, and that it all began with Judith Butler and Gender Trouble.
Butler it should be noted does not have clean hands on this issue either, with her theorizing that some kids may enjoy incest at the time which would make it OK 🤮
Derrick Jensen, noted professor and LGB activist, exposes the pedophilic origins and history of Queer Theory with a fun game of Queer Theory Jeopardy. Note how the trans activists in the audience accuse him, an openly gay man, of being homophobic and transphobic for daring to call out the pedophiles:
Quite right, there was a small bridge between male sadomasochists and academic lesbians in California, but I don't recall Thinking Sex being widely discussed at the time, or Rubin being acknowledged, in the UK.
In 1991 when I started my bachelor's degree, all the talk was of postmodernism rather than queer theory, with the French trio of Foucault, Derrida and Baudrillard getting most of the attention. Nevertheless, Judith Butler probably benefited from still being alive, unlike Foucault.
This is remarkable. How do you make time to do all of this research? I suppose I have done nothing but research since being thrown into this hell hole 2 years ago by my daughter. Its so bad I am in the process of rethinking or remaking my whole life. i day dream of walking away and living a life of solitude in a small town. I listened to this at first then went back and highlighted and took notes. I crave the WHO, what, where, when and why of how we got to this very low point within our society. No one I know cares or understands. I am grateful to you for the research and thoughts. Queer theory and cultural marxism have such a big role but that is very tiny foil hat to others. I feel such deep betrayal.
Hi Caroline, thanks so much for reading! I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter and how gender ideology has affected you and your family. As to your question on who, there's a long, complex lineage of purveyors of this ideology, from Magnus Hirshfeld to "Marci" Bowers, but I think the primary candidate for blame would have to be John Money. Money was a psychologist who believed, and even tricked the world into believing for a while, that children's "genders" were not fixed until a certain age, and could be reshaped in childhood. He failed miserably, and the twin boys he experimented on (and sexually abused in the process) both ended up committing suicide. I would recommend looking him up, and another character named Alfred Kinsey. Since then, a great many people have taken up the mantel of trans activism, whether as a presumed natural continuation of the gay rights movement, a deformed kind of feminism or social justice activism, or simply to go along with the crowd and accept whatever is fashionable or "kind". I think the idea of "the long arc of history" bending toward justice is flawed and untrue, but still very fixed in people's minds. We assume "progress" only goes in one way: broader social acceptance for any group deemed marginalized, and it's hard to shake people awake from that perception and make them see the truth of gender ideology. The issue has also become highly politicized and bi-partisan, although hopefully that will change soon with the Democrats' recent spectacular defeat, and as society's patience for this madness begins to wane. The factors that contributed to where we are today are complicated and multi-faceted, but I ultimately have hope for the future. I believe truth will always prevail in the end. I'll be keeping you and your daughter in my prayers and in my thoughts, and please know you can always reach out to me if you need anything. You're not in this alone. More people than you know are on the side of sanity.
Ooh. Some names I know and some I do not. Thanks. I was sickened to learn about John Money on Gender a Wider Lens. I grew up a few blocks from Johns Hopkins and probably knew people who knew him. I read a lot about Pritzker family, Rothblat, Tim Gill. I was furious to see Biden awarded him a medal of something or other along with Soros.
Wow, excellent comprehensive presentation.
I especially enjoyed your sporadic quips: “It doesn’t add up.”
Yep. We have a lot more work to do.

I whole-heartedly agree. Thank you for reading!

Magesterial summary, with telling bitter humor.

This line from your post stands out for me:
"Again, my problem with this is that gender-affirming care is good for exactly no one, no matter how individualized the process, and especially not children who have no concept of the permanency of their choices."

Lots of helpful information here!

Here’s the essay. Warning: not for the faint of heart:

But that was before the lesbians finally managed to kick the pedophiles out of the LGB rights movement in the 80s, without much help from gay men:

Thanks, Kitty and what amazing work putting together this list - and this is just part one!!
Good to see that a few are already facing court action, especially 'chicken lady'.
Will cross post in due course.
Dusty
thank you so much!!
Have cross posted and also your excellent piece on the wonderful executive order
